Use anything in a skinny 22-pin DIP package? Neither do we. But, we have these sockets anyway. They're nicely made with machined sockets and all. If you don't mind a couple of extra holes hanging off the end, you could even uss these with smaller chips-- DIP-8, or DIP-20 for example. Mitigating factor for the indignation of working with funny sized sockets: they're cheap. =)
